Boys Central Valley vs South Valley All-Star Game

This game was so exciting it was featured on KTVU Fox and ESPN!  Central Valley came away with a 128-110 victory over their foes from as far south as Bakersfield, but it wasn't before Tyler Williams of Modesto Christian made arguably, the Play of the Year in Northern California with his off the backboard alley oop to himself!

This game was another competitive one!  Both teams were loaded with talent, but in the end the size and athleticism  of Central Valley, along with a 49-36 rebounding margin, that gave the squad from the Stanislaus and San Joaquin counties the edge.

Michael Hayes of West High and Las Positas College commit, was dominant with a 27 point, 7 rebound, 6 assist and 2 steal stat line.  Six other players scored in double digits but the defense of Chico State-bound Joshua Hamilton of Central Catholic earned him Defensive Player of the Game honors.

For the South Valley All-Stars it was Loyola Marymount-bound Dameane Douglas Jr of San Joaquin Memorial that led all scorers and rebounders with a 32 & 9 stat line.    Sharpshooter Nathan Kendricks of Immanuel also cracked 20 points with a 21 point performance while also winning the Dr. Dish 3-point contest.
