CAMP DIRECTOR

Dion Aye - Founder/CEO of NorCal Sports TV

Those from the Sonora area may recognize the last name.  The middle son of former Columbia College head coach, Denny Aye, who built a powerhouse program at Columbia College from '85-94'.   Basketball was the way of life in the 'Aye House'.   Brothers Tyson Aye (Allan Hancock) and Devin Aye (San Jose City) are current head college coaches.   Until Coach Denny Aye retired from Chabot College, Dion was an assistant coach for the Gladiators, completing the circle of college coaching experience in the family.

Dion played college basketball and graduated summa cum laude from Southern University of New Orleans with a cumulative 4.0 gpa.  As the entrepreneur of the family, Dion Aye has operated two businesses simultaneously.   Meeting Rooms On Demand, LLC started operations in 2013 and now boasts seven locations in three states.   NorCal Sports TV, LLC began in 2015 and has grown to be the premier online sports network on the West Coast.

From Dion Aye about the NCSTV Summer Basketball Camp:

"I have always dreamt of operating an overnight summer basketball camp.  As a child I was arguably the youngest camper in the 46 year history of the Dick Edwards Camp.  This camp was the highlight of my summer every year, and as my entrepreneurial mind began to grow I imagined ways to merge what I enjoyed with fresh ideas of my own.   I never thought about holding my camp anywhere else other than the Sierra Outdoor School in Sonora.  Since this was the campground that holds so many of my childhood memories, I can envision how I will do the same for so many other young basketball players.  After five years of making phone calls and inquiries about availability, we were able to to finally lock down two weeks for the summer starting in 2020.  By implementing my own experiences of a young camper along with the capability of NorCal Sports TV, I look forward to offering an overnight basketball camp that is unmatched anywhere in the world!"
